Turning Americans Against
Science After the Cold War

Erik M. Conway is a historian at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology.  In 2010, he and Naomi Oreskes coauthored Merchants of Doubt: How a Handful of Scientists Obscured the Truth on Issues From Tobacco Smoke to Global Warming.  The book inspired a documentary film by the same name in 2014.

Conway and Oreskes have coauthored various articles, including: Why Conservatives Turned Against Science, and The Collapse of Western Civilization: A View from the Future.  The latter was also published as a book.
